relocate ac controls?

Has anyone done this? How viable is it?



Im thinking about putting a 7" computer screen where the factory radio goes, and putting an aftermarket single din stereo where the ac controls currently are.



i have the full length deluxe console so i was thinking about having something made to put the ac controls exactly between where the center console and the mid console butt up. i am looking to keep the ac controls handy as i use them everday. thanks

Someone has relocated them to the glove box, but I don't remember who.

i remember them saying it was a ridiculous amount of work, he cut and resoldered alot of wires..

In the scenario you're describing, I don't think you'll have to cut any wires. I'm sure there's enough slack in the wires. It sounds do-able, unless there's nothing to attach your stereo mounting brackets to in there. Other than that, it's just a matter of molding the center console around the AC controls.



Sounds like a good project. Keep us posted if you decide to do it.
