I need some opinions on some kitchen work I am going to have done. We are going to have a new Corian countertop installed in the next few weeks but am confused about something. I visited a kitchen and bathroom store in town- Floor to Ceiling. A place where you can see displays and samples of carpets, countertops, cabinets, etc. What would be the difference if I go through them or call any home remodeler from the yellow pages? I figured I would get quotes from both but was not sure who I should be getting to do the work.

If you call a remodler they will purchase the product and then install it...

They are responsible for everything...

I know here if you use a place like that one by you, the use installation companies, the quality may be different...

I always try to use 1 company for everything...

NOW if the store has their own installers NOT 3rd party installers, you should be fine...

Todd Z-

Floor To Ceiling measures the countertop and basically sends the measurements to 3 different fabricators to see who has the best quote. That is about all I know about them so far. How would a home remodeler do it?

A home remodeler normally has a preference on what company they will work with that supplies them with there countertops. There is usually a nice bond between the two. Each will try to make each other happier. The remodeler will get the size of the countertop and have it made or salesperson will come out and measure it.
