ok i have seen it done before on here, some guy mounted his face plate to the pillar on the drivers side. this is not for my sport trac but for my 66 chevelle i want to install a radio in. i cant put it in the dash so i was goin to install it under the seat or something, but i dont know if the remote would work the unit with it being under the pass side seat???

Have you thought about just mounting the whole thing in the glove box? Thats the route I'm going with my project, a stock radio in the dash, new one in the glove compartment.

Dont put it there anyways looked VERY, VERY, VERY bad. And made no sense as well, since you would have no idea what is happening on the road while your looking at the radio.

But that is just my opinion.

Plus why ruin a 66 Chevelle?

would putting a head unit in the a-pillar really ruin a 66 chevelle? I didnt think so, his car let him do what he wants with it.
