Can anyone give a hint on how to remove the needles form the gauge cluster? I am trying to put overlays on the gauges and I don't want to break them.

Thanks

Jim D.

They simply lift off and push back on... There is a special procedure to that so you don't put them back on in the wrong location so they read right....

Jim,

If the kit did not come with a tool, you may need to slightly pry up on the base of it a little..

I remember my mustang some fell off some I had to pull....

I know there where posts on here on how to do it, you may want to try searching...

I know there are no projects written though....

Use a large dinner fork.

Most overlay gauges are made so you don't have to remove the gauge needles...check to see if that is a possibility first.

dinner fork or bbq fork works great... dont break them whatever you do. Also mark off and rememebr where they go at a warmed up idle.....
