Removing stock radio

I just got my sound system for my st. I would like to know if there is another way to remove the radio without that special tool? Thanks in advance

some have made a tool from coat hanger wire..never tried it myself, though..you will need two shaped like a U for each side of the Head unit..



Edit; I bought a release tool at wallmart for $4 awhile back, they might still sell them..

Most of the auto parts stores also carry them. Very inexpensive.

If you remove the 2 screws that hold the bezel on, you can take the whole thing out, Then just push the clips and remove the radio from the bezel...
