Just replaced my factory stereo with a JVC. I really like it. It has the mp3 input and the sound is great. It even has a remote control. It only cost $99 and the bracket and wireing harness was $50.

Cool... Pics ???

Cool. I really like my JVC in the ST. Had it for close to a couple years now.

I also replaced the factory speakers. Put some Pioneer 2 ways in the front, and 3 ways in the rear. Sounds awesome. I just need a sub one of these days when I can.

I have the KDAR870, and put the Sirius satellite radio box in the glove compartment.

I even made my own "Aux In" jack next to the radio.

Wolf, traditionally, you'd put the 3-ways in the front, as they make more treble and you'd usually rather hear it than have it absorbed by seats and such.

I actucally had the 3 ways in the front, moved them back and forth a few times, and liked the way it sounded with the 2 ways in the front.

The 2 ways seem to have better bass response, ( they were also a better quality pioneer than the wal-mart 3 ways ) and I'm a bit tone deaf, so just went with what sounded best to me.

Wolf, you should write up a project with pics on how you made that aux-in jack. I'm sure it wasn't difficult, but it would be nice to hear how you did it, the parts you used and lessons learned with your install.

Right now I have a aux-in wire that I stash in the glove box when I don't use it. :p

Basically, the head unit has RCA input jacks, so I bought some RCA cables, cut them, and went to radio shack and bought a plug, and soldered it on there. Drilled a tiny hole, and mounted the plug.

I walked a guy through via email on doing it to his car over on the sirusbackstage forums.

Maybe someday I'll take it back out for something, and can write something up on it. Just never really thought of it since it was an after market unit.
