Replacing Instrument Cluster

First I want to say I have not posted here in a long time, I have been very busy with work, kids, new house, so I just havent visited the site in probably two years plus, lol. Well itsw good to be back, and I have been wondering lately if it is possible to replace an Instrument cluster from an early year 01, with the nice digital ones from 04-05? Its just an amazingly better look, so I was just curious if I could do it or not.

This was talked about while back, No on ever tried it..... I don't think the connectors are the same.....



I would yank the one in my 03 and 04 to compair......



I know the non digital one will work in earlier explorers..
