James at RLC Welding has been making these bumpers for years for the 1st and 2nd Gen Explorer. He's a vendor over on explorerforum.com. A bunch of us have been after him to build it for the ST, he just needed measurements for the frame since it's a different width. Contact him if you want one built for yours here:

He'd appreciate the business.

Looks great man, welded or bolted on? Pictures?

Bolted on but the there's only one bolt location. Gonna drill another, maybe two holes to secure it more. The bracket he makes comes with three bolt locations. I'll get pictures tomorrow. I didn't really take any of the install.

Jerry summed it up. The hoop is by request at a small extra cost. He can add a hoop, full brush guard, light bar box, fog light holes, etc. I should have taken pictures of the welds before painting. Beautiful.

4-5 week lead time and he was right on time.

Pretty sick!

Thank you. I've been wanting to do this for way too long.

If someone will take their truck to him to fabricate a rear bumper, I'll throw some cash toward the guinea pig to lower their cost.

That does mean I get to choose design, though.:bwahaha:

Really nice work Hugh. VERY serious stuff indeed. :supercool:

Hugh, my rear bumper /swingout tire carrier is up for grabs, I'm asking $550 for both plus shipping. It would be on a pallet because of size and weight. I'll sand it and paint it before shipping.

Thanks Jerry. I don't think I'm going to go the swingout route, though. I'm going to try to figure out how to get it under the bed eventually. I need more weight low and right under the bed. Really steep down hill trails can get scary when it feels like your rear is about to lift over your head.

I didn't notice the bumper in your other for sale thread. Are you just now putting it up? Somebody should grab that for sure. You can't get a bumper and tire carrier for that price anywhere, let alone one that actually works on a ST. Good luck with the sale; shouldn't be difficult.
