I have wanted to upgrade my system without getting showing off too much and get my system stolen... again. (last car got hit 3 times in 18 months)

I just ordered 2 sets of Rockford Fosgate Punch FRC4257. I looked at crutchfield and best buy a while back and these were over $100 a pair. these have not been talked about on MySporttrac much but I think with the Rockford name these will kick pretty good. (My older Rockford head unit sucked, I'm glad they stick to speakers and amps again)

I couldn't believe I found a 5x7 speaker that I could drop right into the doors myself and also take the power of my orion 200.4 amp for $27.89 a pair. ( 2 pair and 3 day shipping upgrade = $88)

Saw these also might grab them to replace my blauphunt 5X7. Those only cost me $20/pair and sound really good but I might upgrade to these.

I really liked Rockford Fosgate products. I was turned off when Best Buy started to carry them. For me, it just lost that appeal as a good item. I mean, get real. Best Buy sells them. Right next to Jensen, Pyle, and Craig.

Eh, I don't care too much for RF compontent sets or coaxil speakers. I think they used to have great amps. I have owned several different speakers and subs by them and they just don't last too long. I say for bang for the buck go Pioneer. They sound decent off the headunit and better amped. I have Pioneers all around in my ST and power them with 1 MTX Thunder 404 amp. I run a set of Infinity tweeters in the front through a crossover also powered by the MTX. I have a 12" Kicker L7 in a sealed enclosure powered by my Rockford Fosgate Power 550S. Now, if you have money to spend then I say get a nice Infinity component set. Tweeter placement really helps in our trucks. Amp your highs mids and lows if you can. If not then don't get too flashy with the highs and mids and keep them powered by the headunit.

I just went with some Pioneer 4 ways. they have awesome clarity, and thump, even with the stock HU.

Of course they sounded much better with my Kenwood HU.
