I have a 2002 ST. The floor covering/rubber floor has developed a hole where The heel to my shoe sits. I do not want to have to replace the entire floor since it is not cost effective for me to do at this time. The whole is approximately 2" x 1.5". I was thinking of getting some carpeting backing. And sticking that in the hole. To fill in where the heel has dug in towards the floor pan. And then melting some type of rubber on top that'll adhere to the remainder of the floor rubber covering/carpet replacement. Anybody have any ideas of what I could use. Or has anybody done this type of repair. I did hear that somebody may have used plasty dip. To create a covering of type over that patch and it will adhere to the rubber on each side to create a temporary seal. And then I was thinking of putting a set of floor mats on top I have found at Walmart they have floor mats that have the anchor hole in the back which will adhere to the form at anchor on the driver side. Any ideas would be helpful thank you very much I've gotten great ideas from this forum.

Your Idea may work well. I was thinking about the way they fix vinyl upholstery by putting or applying a liquid and blending it in and heating it with heat gun and so on . Or a restoration place can do it but it may be expensive. Good luck with that.

This stuff works great. Don't see any reason why it wouldn't work for the ST floor.

What most people do not realize is that Superglue Gel works really good on rubber.

I would patch by taking a piece of the original flooring from underneath the rear seat.

Find some similar material to back it up with (like rubber from a truck inner-tube) and then bond it all up with the superglue gel.

Loctite makes a good gel CA glue also.
