Does anyone have a solution or remedy for restoring the black on the running boards of a 2007 Sport Trac Limited. Mine have weathered to a white haze on the ends.

good luck!

I use the "vinyl and rubber protectant" from Griot's Garage. Works very well, not "slippery" like Armour All. Two years and the boards still look like new. Bob

Back to Black works very well for the plastic and rubber parts.

My rear bumber on my gen 1 was almost white, especially on top of the step area and where the sun hits the most. One coat and back to normal.

What paint did you use on yours. I'm tired of fighting the haze on mine.

We took the ends of and cleaned with Dawn dish soap & toothbrush, and let it dry. For paint, we used Krylon Fusion, 2421-Satin Black (directions on can). They have lasted 2 years now, even with Illinois weather.
