Running Lights. Anybody mess with the wiring

on a Gen2 to get daytime running lights?

I would think you will have to buy the DRL module.

Since the Gen2 does not have that option I would think you could not add the module. I think you have to "rig" it somehow.

It's standard equipment in Canada so I'm sure you could order a DRL Module or something.

Or simply add a trigger wire to the relay that when you turn on the key, or the engine it triggers the relay for the lights..... That cant be too hard at all...



OR the easy thing is just cover the sensor with a piece of black tape.... LOL.....



I think the module is better though as it will not dim the interior lights if you "rig" it....Or they will be on as well burning out the bulbs...

I have a small 3"x 4" rubber dash mat. When I want daytime lights. I slide it over the sensor. Other times it hides my VIN...

Can't seem to find a part number for a DRL module or where it would even go.

I thought the drl's were controlled through the computer system. Should be able to have dealer turn them on. Or if you have the info and set-up buttons you may be able to do it yourself.
