So the Adrenalin decided to piss me off yesterday and show "Sat Fault" on the display.

From what I read the stealer needs to replace the sat module.....

Any one go through this ????

Thanks

Todd,

I've Googled and it is a somewhat common problem (sat modules needing replacement) for several car makes, models. It happens.

Since you probably are off-warranty, and the dealer may charge you, I think it MIGHT be worth calling the cust service of Sirius and sobbing about the unexpected maintenance charges you are going to have to pay to continue to use their service.

I know, technically they aren't to blame, but you can't use your subscription lest this shoddy module gets replaced; it is their service you are subscribed to, and IF you complain about this they MAY credit you a quarter or two on your subscription. Especially if you threaten to not get the sat module replaced due to "escalating, hidden and unexpected costs" for using their service.

Essentially it becomes a "retention" call for them, and most subscription service providers will toss you a pretty nice bone when you threaten to leave.

Todd Z,

Oh, warrantied on your '10 then. Still worth a call to Sirius to complain, IMHO. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. The real question is who is ultimately responsible (or more/most responsible) for the QA of those sat mods? Ford? Sirius? Electronics provider contracted by Sirius? Likewise, who has the most vested in making you happy given that someone along that supply and quality assurance chain seems to have dropped the ball? For that one, the answer is clear: Sirius.

Todd, I had the same problem in 08. It was a sat fault problem-they updated the computer and no more problem. Also you can try to resend your signal from sirius web site some times that helps. good luck
