Screamin' Demon Coil Packs...Anyone know about compatibility for ST?

Hey STer's!



I was doing some searching on our new site we have here "Underdog Perfomance". I noticed the Coil pack and it says it's for the 4.0 Ranger. But, will it probably fit the ST? Anyone know about Ranger ignitions? -DD ST

I know it will not currently work without some "changes" but will Todd tell you about it.

Here is the low down on it...



I bought one...



The wiring connector is a tight fit, But that can be fixed with just cutting some if the wiring harness tape it fits. It mounts perfect.



The issue is the firing order of the coil, We haven't figured out if it is a wiring issue with the ST, or the actual firing of the coil..



We are working on it because I want to run a hotter ignition on the st...

What are the benefits of running a hotter ignition as well as having this coil pack?

This gives you more spark thus more complete burning of the fuel mix. More hp, more economy, and smoother running engine..
