Hi guys, long time no see. Poor old girl is still sitting in the yard for a year now with a bent piston rod. Still can't find a replacement motor locally (damn job1 motor) so it looks like I'm going to get rid of some more things.

Well here's the SCT Xcal-2 Tuner

It has an 87 octane performance tune and a 93 octane performance tune. Biggest and best mod I ever did to the truck. No sense in letting it collect dust here. Anyone interested? Paid $360 for it back then (OUCH!) but I'm willing to take a hit. It's in perfect condition with all paperwork and even the SCT badge for your truck!

SOLD!!!!

Will this work on an 09 with a 4.0? and also, what was the HP gain on this tune?

Is it back to stock and unlocked? What is your ECU code? Also what mods were your tunes written for? So intrested members might be able to use your tunes. Our sponsor charges $150 for new tunes if needed.

Sorry to hear that you haven't run your ST in a while.

I have a job 2. so i don't think it'll work.

Do youstill have the Y-pipe? would you want to sell that?

I'm in Fort Lauderdale..

rob, I just noticed on his paper work. The computer code is TTY3. It will work on your job 2. If your code is the same you might be able to use his tunes. If not you can get tunes rewritten for you by Torrie, our sponsor @ unleashed tuning.

The code is on the paper tab on you pcm, under the hood mounted on the firewall, passenger side.

Hi guys,

Yes, it was flashed back to stock and unlocked.

I'm pretty sure it won't work on the 2nd gens but I may be wrong? Someone care to chime in? Perhaps with a re-flash?

As for a job 2 I know it will, absolutely with a re-flash, but if you have the same ecu code then even better for you!

The only mods on the truck were exhaust and a conical air filter.

Hi Eddie, I see your still active on here. I guess your truck is still running strong! :)

As for specific gains I do not know, but it definitely registers well on the butt-dyno!

I say the improved shifting alone and code reading feature makes it more than worth it.

I do still have the Y-pipe on there, don't know if I want to part it out yet. I definitely don't have the time to work on her myself anymore. Tempt me perhaps?

I'd love to get a short block but I guess I haven't looked hard enough. That and I'm not all that sure if it would be worth it right now to try and get one and pay to have it installed. Money is extremely tight and I am just starting a new job (after being out of work for a year, yikes!) so I don't have any time to attempt my own install or even hunt down a motor. I kinda gave up and don't know what I want to do just yet. It sure bothers me though seeing her just waste away. I still wash her now and then, lol. Poor old girl...

Lets see how to tempt you?

I duuno? maybe cash and i come and help take it off and put on the factory pipes???

Let me see what i have in my garage. i have lots of stuff in there..

Even have custom leather covers for the inside grab handles. I can take some pics og mine later and post for you to see.

rob

of course i do... was that your gold track in the video of the cluncker cars for the gov....

How u been. I'm still in FTL. are u still in miami? U still got your GOLD ST? we need to catch up....

Hey Brandon. Im still kicking. Runing the 93 performance tune lately in my trac. Its not a super truck. But it suprises folks when they find out it is a 4.0 V6...

Im thinking it might have more potential. I have the xcal-3. Have a dyno shop 1 mile away. But the guy says he needs the 4.0 software. He works with the SCT xcals. I need to find out, maybe he has done some 4.0 mustangs. Might be the same.. Maybe Torrie can write something more extreme. A dyno is the best way though.

Leaving church sunday morning, I was next to a freind at the stop light. He has a new GMC w/5.7L. He was nudging the light next to me. We dumped the the throttles on green. I whooped him thru 1st gear. He then was cathing up. We shut down then. He asked me sunday night what size V8 I had..

Haha! Nice job Eddie! :D

Well Rob if your willing to do all that then your welcome to get down and dirty on her (not like that! lol) I will pm you.

a local has been asking about the tuner so I will let you guys know what is up when I hear back from him.

thanks!

Dumb question, but how do you find the PCM code?

Actually, let me rephrase, I know where the PCM is, but I don't see the code on there.

Who did the tuning on it? Was the tune installed when you bent a rod? I have the same engine code as you but just worried about the quality of the tune, and it would be a while before I have any extra funds considering the wife and I just bought a house.

Sterling, yes it will work as long as your PCM code is TTY3. Look on top of the PCM wire harness on the firewall on the passenger side of the engine compartment. Your code will be in big bold letters.;)

Brandon, I'm pretty interested, especially since my PCM code just happens to be TTY3.

Not sure if you know the answer, but since my code is the same, does that mean that if I got it, it would work right off the bat, just plug it in? Would I need to do anything special with Torrie to get it to work, or would I be ready to go?

Sorry guys new jobs been keeping me busy!

OK let's see...

Wayne F. at Hypnotic Illusions did the tune for me back in August of 2005.

I don't know if he's been on the board for awhile.

I ran the tune on the truck since 05 so I'm absolutely sure it had nothing to do with the bent rod (which was caused by a failed head-gasket and slight hydro-locking due to the coolant being pulled in through the head).

It will work on a 2002, if you have the same ecu code, or you can get it re-tuned.

Hi Josh, looks like we have a winner! LOL, yes it should just be plug and play for you.

Thanks again guys, will keep you posted. Sorry for any delays!

Sounds good so far...Do you know if the mods I've done will affect the tunes (positively or negatively)?

It's also listed in my profile, but I've got a K&N FIPK, Zabteck TB, and Zabteck MAF, along with an "exhaust", which is just a new muffler...

Whatddya think?

If it would all work right, how's $200 shipped? (for the sake of a nice even number :D )

Edit: just making sure, but you said it was unlocked and back to stock, so that it wouldn't need any tweaking in that area?
