O.K. everyone, a little help here....

My 2005 (with less than 12,000 miles) is showing what I consider to be excessive wear on the cloth seat covers. The rear seat still looks fine but the two fronts are pretty bad, especially at the side seams. The selling dealer (Gray-Daniels Ford of Brandon, MS) has informed me on two occasions that the warranty does not cover "wear". Any ideas?

This seems to be common with people that drag or slide their but in or out of the Trac...

Some members have had dealers warranty it...

Get a good or cheep set of covers, You may be able to replace your cloth and then cover..

go to j.c.whitney and get the "indian blanket" style, they are made of some heavey duty stuff!! they have held up to my butt for 2 years in my bronco.you may have to call thier customer service to get a good fit.

I've looked at two seat cover manufacturer's sites: CoverKing and Wet Okole. Wet Okole, out of Hawaii seems to make a very good (if not slightly expensive) neoprene seat cover that several people have recommended to me. They have a good site and will send you samples of their materials in whatever colors you prefer. I'm currently waiting to get my sample before I place my order from them.

My '05 St with less than 5,000 miles is also showing some wear and minor thread-fraying on my front passenger seat. I'm 6'2" and primarily drive our ST, but my wife, who is 5'1" is usually the passenger and has to slide into her seat since I don't have step bars for her yet.

I'd check out www.wetokole.com
