I think I'm going to see if I can get a pressure test done first. That way I can be sure the issue is the weep hole on the water pump before I buy a new pump and hoses.

you can look and see if the weep is leaking, use a d look from passenger side of engine... you will see the stains.

Forgive my ignorance. But:
1. What is a "d look"?
2. Passenger side? I really thought the water pump was front driver side by the way the belt is routed. What am I missing?

Stupid auto correct..... Flash light and look.....
the water pump is in the center but the hole is on the passenger side of it....

you have to look for it by standing in front of the passenger headlight and look towards the pump and area with a flash light...
If I find the pic of mine I can show you exactly how it looks.....

I've done 8 of these now in my driveway on all different trucks.... I highly recommend the ACDELCO pump....
