serpentine belt

Aloha folks, I changed the serpentine belt on my 02 track today. When I put the old one on the shelf, I found another. So that is two in 40K miles. How often should they last?

Depends on the brand.



Gates is the only brand that I have found that lasts.



The cheaper brands start to squeal in short order, especially in cold weather.

I use the dayco polycogs on the gen 1 4.0 L. .5" shorter than oem. No slipage and no powersteering squel or bumping, turned lock to lock.
