I have seen on here several times about finding subs that will fit in the limited space available in the Sport Trac. Today I got an e-mail from Pioneer with these in it. Looks pretty cool. Almost makes me want to upgrade to this model now....

Rockford Fosgate is supposed to have some coming out too and there is another company that already has them out. Very cool stuff. I'd like to hear them though before I drop the coin on them none of them are real cheap. (~$200ish)

I just looked real quick at the link but how much are they? I like the looks of them but I always hate the price when they just come out with something "New and Inivative" that will have you naming your first born after it to get a set of them.;)

I have (1) 12" shallow mount Pioneer. Personally I like the sound better than I did the (2) 8's I had. NOW, I know there are those of you out there that have made some really nice systems using the 8's, but I didn't feel like they produced low enough of a frequency for my liking. I like the deeper bass more than a punchy mid-bass sound. I'm sure some high end 8's could definitely keep up, but for the amount I have tied up in my system, the 12" worked nicely. Mine's under the 60% bench seat firing down. I'd take some pics, but all you see is the black box pushed up underneath....

Shallow subs :)

Im putting a JL Audio 13W7 in my ST (Thanks to a seat modification) Im in the process of doing the 2nd box, the first ended up being a little small..

Ill post pics soon!

2.5cuft, ported box!!

I had that sub in the ST for awhile. I also got the Pioneer sub box. I had it behind the rear seats. Sounded nice but I needed more and ditched the 40 seat for a box with a Kicker L& 12". Now the Pioneer sits in the closet.
