Whenever I make a sharp left turn, I can't really explain the noise, it's not exactly a grinding noise, but it's loud and doesn't sound good, there is also vibration through the steering wheel. Doesn't happen on right turns, has anyone else had that problem and know whats causing it?

Could be bad C/v joint, axle shaft, loose brake rotor, bent rim, several things can cause this. Could even be a bad rack and pinion or even a bad p/s pump..

Its probably the p/s pump. I have it too but only when Im mostly stopped and turning the wheel. Its a TSB for 01 and 02's, not sure bout rest.

I'll bet your hitting your turn stops. From the factory they were either not greased or use a poor quality grease. You will see ball on the spindle and a concave area on the lower control arm where the ball goes into during a sharp turn. As the suspension gives the ball moves within this concave area and make a nasty noise.

Grease both the ball and the concave area with a quality marine grease.

Problem solved in most cases...

I had this on right hand turns and it turned out to be the right side wheel bearing, started out slight and got worse over time. The best way to duplicate it was jerk the steering wheel to the side(carefully) while going over 25mph or so and it grinds away and quiets down if you go the opposite way.

Seemed like it should have been the opposite side but it wasnt.
