I'm half way through shaving the mirrors on my sport trac (I was planning on writing a how-to once I'm done. the problem is this. I can already see that to complet the new smoth look, the antenae and door handles will also have to go. Has anybody shaved the handles off thiere ST's? what about relocated the antenae? I'll post some pictures once the primer is on so you can see what the truck looks like sans mirrors.

Shaving handles and the antenna aren't too difficult. Just make a patch panel, weld it in, grind it down, and body work it smooth. Same for the antenna. Just pull the antenna connection away from the fender so that you can hook up a hidden antenna.

man you better shave it all.. :D the 1st questions youre gonna hear is why shave mirrors but not the rest. Should look good man good luck. On the antenna you can get the kind that mounts under dash, most stereo shops can order for you.

The antenna and door handles would go before the mirrors did! I think I would miss my mirrors!

Seems that it would look like a head without ears, too!

thanks for your input guys, I appreciate it. I did shave the stock mirrors but I added a mirror from a 46 pontiac, for the passenger side and I'm waiting on a custom mirror for the drivers side. right now it looks pretty funny, I'm embarresed to show pics. give me a week or so and I'll be dazzling you folks with my earless truck. Happy holidays. J
