Ferrari pulled several of their race cars from various ages out of storage,

flew them around the world, and filmed them running through the

streets of Rome, Rio, New York, Hong Kong, Honolulu, and Monaco.

No computer generated graphics these are the original cars on the original streets.

The best part is the sound -- from the basso-profundo notes of the early,

front-engine era, each scene cuts to a later generation, ending

with the wail of a modern F1 car. The sounds alone bring a tear to

the eye.

Even if you're not a gearhead, this video will stir the

soul. There's justsomething about 3 liters and 14,000 RPM!

That is one of the most beautiful things I have seen in a long time. Thanks for sharing.

The Monaco Grand Prix is on my bucket list. I walked across the starting line in Monaco and got chills without a Formula car anywhere near. I really wish Formula was more popular stateside. TV just isn't good enough.

Also right there on the bucket list is the 24 Hour of Le Mans.

Sometime after I can afford those things and check them off, I want to check off buying a Ferrari (or Porsche).

Pretty cool. Where do all of the cool commercials that get posted on here air? I never see them on TV, sadly.

I didn't think it was possible to make TV spots or movies without 100% CG these days.

IMO at high rpms, the pitch gets so high that it doesn't sound as impressive as a V8 rumble. It becomes more like an import motorcycle.

3.9 million for a commercial that doesn't air on TV in full??

I guess it takes a nice chunk of change to get unrestricted solo access to those roadways.
