I have a question for anyone that has shipped a vehicle before. I am selling my 72 VW. The car is in a non running condition, as I started do a custom restoration many years before I joined the military. Now I am married with a kid and out of the military and don't have the time/interest to complete the project. Someone is flying up from Orland FL to take a look at it next week, and he wants to have it shipped to his place, but he has never had a car shipped before. I was wondering if anyone on here has shipped vehicles like this before and has some words of wisdom.. I offered to meet him halfway to deliver it, but he would rather just have it delivered to him. Below is a link to the ad so you can get an idea of what I need to ship.

There are many auto transport companies out there that will do it, Even some local towing companies by you may do the Long distance haul.....

Just don't use the guy that offers covered transport....

Last price I got was FL to NY was around $1500.00

I used a transport out of Hollywood Fl. Last year to get my st here, from Florida to Texas. He was pretty good and works for himself. I could give you his number by email if you want. I was using uship. Its like ebay. Here is his transport page feedback or whatever you want to call it._Ron

Search on Google for transporter some of the independent small carriers are cheaper.

The last one I used was Fed EX transport(passport carriers).

That uship site seems to have a lot of shippers. I'll forward that site to the possible buyer. Thanks!

I did not know FedEx would ship stuff like that. Interesting.

FedEx ships priceless race horses. FedEx is, by far, the best delivery service out there.
