Anyone ever shipped a vehicle? Trying to find a good rate from Houston to Bakersfield CA ..

Whats the weight? Your going to be paying for weight and milege, so I put in a call to a friend of mine that is a broker out of Phoenix. Just to give ya an idea. My personal guess is probably around 2500 to 3000. Will post as soon as I hear from him. Weight would be a good thing to know.

LA to Seattle we paid 1700.00 enclosed trailer door to door. We found rates as low as 1200.00 but we had four sets of tires, four fenders and a hood transported with the car. Rates vary for enclosed or not, door to door or door to shipping company in your area. Also, consider having friend drive the car and fly them back maybe a lot less expensive.

I'm actually taking the truck there and then picking it up when the work is done. Probably about a month later. It may be more $$$ than worth I am just weighing options. Thanks for the help guys.

Heck, it's only about a 2 day drive. It might cost you less to drive there, fly back; and do the reverse to pick it up. Unless your time is worth more.

I had a Trans Am shipped from Arizona to NY about 6 years ago and it was less than $1,000. It was on an open trailer carrier and arrived in less than a week. If you are interested I can see if I still have the companies info. It arrived filthy but not a scratch on it.
