What would be the best rear shock's to have for towing? I will be towing a 6 x 12 enclosed trailer. It weights about 1200 lbs. Mowers inside weight about 1000 lbs. Right now just have the original 2005 stock shocks.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks,

anything is better than stock, alot of people have installed the reflex shocks and liked them, do a search for shocks and you find the most popular ones. Might want to consider installing a heavier sway bar as well to help overall stability of the truck as well when towing

The Monroe website recommends the reflexes for off road and towing...

The sensatracs for regular use and slight off roading.

I recommend the use of the Explorer Express sway bar and either Monroe Reflex or Rancho RSX all around; with the addition of Road Master Active Suspension on the leaf springs. You can also use Rancho 9000XL 9-way adjustable triple tube shocks on the rear.

If you look on the Monroe website, for a trailer under 4000 pounds, the suggest getting the Sensa-Trac Load Adjusting Shocks. But the Reflex would be fine as well.

AdrnInRush, the Gen2 has a strut-like shock all around.

I have air shocks on the rear of my '03. Love em.;)

p.s.- they are Monroe also.;)
