I say No, I like the chrome ring around the wheels. Sorry to be the first post and tell you no, but I like the chrome ring.

Well wait, Can you photoshop the wheels and black out the center piece and keep the chrome on the outside??? Just my $.02

Edit:: Was actually the second to post. LOL

Im with Keith, on some cars, the chrome ring looks good and realyl matches. But not so much on yours

ok, this is just my two cents but i think the best look you can get out of that set up is to leave the wheels alone, they look great, and paint your cladding black to match the rims, glossy black. i really think that would look awesome

and painting the cladding will probably be close to the price of the powder coating, again, just my opinion, but look at it and picture my suggestion, in my head it looks really clean and sweet. if i had photoshop on my mac i could show you my vision but i dont

Leave the rims the way they are and spend the money on painting the cladding; either Harvest Gold or black.

I don't care for all black....

oh and by the way the yellow sticker isnt there anymore so the whole car is black beige and grey. the only reason i wanted to do it is for change. And i like the all murder look. the chrome lip really is the only chrome i have on the truck so i wanted to take it off. the only reason i say i would leave it like it is is because from the backside when u look at my truck since its dropped it looks amazing how it sits from the back. ive had my friend drive my truck while im in his and looking at mine from the back and the chrome peaks out it looks amazing. but other than that i want it out. Black tints, Black tail lights, Black wheels, Black grille, i just wanted the all black look. OH and i would love to paint the cladding all beige to match but its $$$$. i wouldnt paint cladding black. it sounds like a good idea since all else is black but i cant picture my truck having black cladding. i still have time to think it over im not sure yet.....

im telling you man, leaving the truck and the wheels alone and painting the cladding glossy black like todd Z's is the way to go, i wish some one could photoshop that for you so you could see what it would look like. i think you are wasting your money powdercoating, painted cladding instead of the gray plastic would make the whole truck look more expensive right now the rims are prettier than your trac. im afraid beige all the way down would look weird too, thats just my opinion

blacking out the rims will make them look cheaper. if you are wanting to murder it out, thats different, you will have to do you whole rim in flat black, murdering has no gloss

ok ok ok.. i know my trucks and i know how to make 'em look good. and it seems to me that Clay and I have very similar tastes as we are always posting similar opinions of what one should do to his or her truck.

Well, here is my 2 cents (not sure its even worth 2cents to you > what is 2cents Canadian to American $ anyway?)

I think you should leave the rims the way they are. If you are itching to paint anything on them, do the centre hub so that its black. Also, the cladding, paint it to match your truck. There are some really inexpensive ways to do this yourself rather than getting a body shop to do it. I say inexpensive and not cheap because it doesnt LOOK cheap it looks great and Im actually thinking about doing the same.

After that, your blacked out taillights, 3rd brake light, and rims (with chrome rings) will look outstanding.

But its the grey cladding that is throwing off the look you want i think...

exaclty shaun t. the gray cladding lowers the i dont know to me it just looks cheaper on the trucks with rims, the ones with painted cladding always look like a more expensive vehicle to me. but the other way around, i think the gray cladding looks better on the trucks with offroad tires.

hmm thats an interesting point clay...

ive always kind of thought the same thing which is why im having a bit of an issue with painting my own cladding. I want some beefy BFG ATs after i do the TT/Shackle lift, but i also wanna get some nice 16" or 17" rims (black w/ chrome, much like the ones in this post)..

I do offroad from time to time, but im tryin to keep this truck for a while, so not too much..

what do u think clay? whats ur opinion on that

Paint the cladding and get black headlights or tint them. Not sure how no one else mentioned that. In all honesty, the headlights stick out more to me then anything. Best of luck in whichever way you decide to go.

Leave the rims alone... You'll regret it if you powdercoat them (it'll start looking like a cheap wheel afterwards.... 2-tone rims are classy... wish mine were).

if it was up to me and i had the money, id do both. i would powdercoat them black AND paint the bumpers beige that way the whole truck is black and beige. i guess in a way it can look cheap, i just wanted a change. and about painting the cladding, i wouldnt want to do it myself even if it is to save money. i know with my luck itll come out horrible. so if i had the money id do both but i cant. i tried editing my bumpers to match the beige i have now to see how it would look but thats hard to do its hard to perfectly match on the computer what painted bumpers in beige would look like with the black rims. id have to have my friend do it for me when i go back home
