side mirror differences

Evidently Ford changed something in the side mirrors between 01 early models and late 01's and later. My qestion is do the mount the same way (i.e. fit) and can an earlier mirror be used on a later model Trac? Thanks in advance. I will give the first responder a Tornado sticker to proudly display on there Trac.

I don't know but i can let u know tommrow because am gona be doing that same swap to night am putting mirrors from a new 1 on mine 01

Yes, they will fit just fine.



The difference is internal to the mirrors, the later models have glass that is seperable from the housing, the early models are not, or at least not with the proper (dealer) tools.

Hey mike i did the swap last night with mirrors out of a 05 and i put it on a 01..and it worked out just fine

VIK, do you have an early '01 or a late '01?

i think i have there earlier ones, but when i get a chance i'll make sure..but am 90% sure i have the eralier ones
