I'm looking at the possibility of setting one of these up at my mom's so we can watch American TV in Poland. How well do these work? Will I have to watch whatever my mom is watching all the time? Will my daughter and I be able to watch two different shows on our two computers?

It has s-video output, that is a good transport.

I use s-video quite a bit from my laptop to lcd tv on the wall, not great quality but decent.

Don't have it Nelson, but my guess is is that it may depend on what kind of bandwidth you can get over there. If you can store the programs locally (versus streaming them), two other factors, resolution and download times would be under your control - the greater the resolution (picture size and clarity), the longer the download times will be.

Nothing definite yet, but it is looking that way. I'm still trying to get more information on the school.
