Yesterday Snow! 3"-6" in the Seattle Area

This is fairly close to my house...127 cars abandoned over night due to the road conditions. Picture was taken this morning.

SST, I'm just above you in Victoria, B.C. and we got the same storm, sure makes for some interesting driving, and fun if you decide to drive more spiritedly.;) Cool picture we didn't have anything quite like that just a few cars and vans off the road.

I wish you could send some of that my way. We usually don't get much, but I love snow. Has been in the 60's and 70's here for a while though....

SST,

I guess b\c Seattle is known for the amount of rainfall it gets I always assumed that it also gets a fair amount of snow in the winter. the photo seems to paint a different picture. Is snow uncommon in Seattle? And like A1cntrler said, send it over here to the east coast! I'm dying to go sledding, tubing, skiing....

Jlevin75 - we get maybe 1 or 2 days a year of snow and it's generally just a dusting and it usually is gone by the morning commute. Outline areas will get more snow. 1-3" This year the low temps have kept the snow around. Right now our hi will be 34 today and the next few days about the same. So, the snow and ice will abe on the roads till the weekend.

Looked like that in Denver starting december 20 and lasting for couple of days. But we had couple of feet with snow drifts around 6ft.............At least some cars are moving. Most cars were stuck and abondoned, other highways just shut down. Now we are waiting for Round 4 in the past 4 weeks!

Kewl! I am missing an ice storm in OKC this weekend. People laughed at me when they found I'd go to Poland in January. Now I have the good weather and they have the cold and ice.

I am glad I'm not a weather forecaster.

XST- a different story up by Edmonton, I had to head up to Vegreville yesterday and managed to sink up truck in a 3 foot snow drift. That was fun to dig out in the -32 C weather they had up there.
