a pound of ground turkey and I want to make some meatballs.

I know there are tons of recipes on the net. I just want to hear how you all would make them.

You all are good at making your Tracs look and run good. Lets see some cooking skills. :)

I usually use Italian spices, Garlic, Onion powder, Italian seasoned bread crumbs, and Grated pecareno/Romano cheese !!!

Then just cook......

I am not a fan of red gravy, so i go for plain, or just cheese...

Looked it the wifes recipe box for meatballs...Real ginzo stuff from Bensonhurst, here's what I found.

Italian Meatballs (makes about 20 )

1/2 lb ground beef ( I guess you can replace with turkey)

1/2 lb sausage

1 egg

1/2 cup bread crumbs

1/4 cup milk

1/8 cup grated cheese (4 cheese)

1tbls parsley

1teas onion powder

1 teas salt

1/4 teas pepper

1 teas garlic powder

a pinch or oregano

Thoroughly combine all ingredients, shape into 1 balls

Sear on all sides then drain

Now for stand alone meatballs

Put them on a tray at 400 deg for 1 hour

Or, if you are making sauce

dump them in & let them cook in the sauce.

(jar sauce would be about 20 minutes cook time)

Now remember, you didn't get this from me. She's real protective about the recipe box.

u make with the amnesia or you gonna get whacked. capisce?

My recipe is very similar to Cabrea's wife(Mom's is from Brooklyn too) except the meat is the pork, veal, beef blend. And finely minced fresh garlic, no powdered onion or garlic and no oregano. Mom always fried them in olive oil too. Caio

Mike, I know what you mean. My wife made changes to her Nonna's recipe replacing fresh with powdered everything!

Different generation!
