Well, last Saturday was a sad day..... my baby was adopted by a new family...:cry::cry:
On the upside, I parked it in my front yard (I live on a somewhat busy road) and sold it in less than 24 hours for my asking price, which was at or above KBB private party value, depending on how you rate the condition. I had about 9 or so people stop by or at least slow down and look really hard at it, but it wound up selling to a lady and her husband who live in the back of my neighborhood. While they were trying to decide on it, another person drove up and wanted to look at it!! Didn't really leave much room for negotiation, LOL! The same thing happened a few years ago when I sold my 2000 Explorer, they didn't even bother trying to talk down the price.
Its kind of weird though, seeing my truck coming and going all the time. I was on the phone with my wife this morning and she saw them driving it around town. She said it even made her a little sad, which is funny because she hates it whenever I work on my vehicles. I LOVE my new truck, but there's no question the ST will always have a place in my heart.
Anyway, if you haven't seen my other posts, I'm in a 2006 F150 Lariat Supercrew 5.4 2WD now. I still haven't got any pics, but hopefully when I get back from Indianapolis and New Orleans next weekend I might be able to get it cleaned up and post a few. I definitely didn't waste any time on the new truck though, so far I've tinted the all the windows and the entire windshield (so nice!!!), added a Century topper (needs paint match), modified the intake, added tunes from Torrie, installed a 2/5 Eibach drop along with Pro-Dampers, installed Hellwig front and rear swaybars and installed my Alpine IVA-W200 headunit. I've still got lots more to do, just need to find the time and funds!
I'll still be checking in around here pretty regular, as this site is like family to me, and who knows, maybe there will be another ST in my future some day.....
