Spring Gobbler Hunters?

Anyone into this sport? I am going to PA today for tomorrow's opening day and will be there all next week. I was there last weekend doing a little scouting and saw/heard several birds. I even called one in by scratching in the leaves with my hand. Did not have a call on me. Caught it all on video. Never tried that before but it worked like a charm. Probably would never happen again especially if I were actually hunting.

You sure that picture was taken in the fall? Not saying a wild turkey won't strut in the fall but those trees in the background look like they have fresh buds coming out...

I've been busy, so I am missing the season. Might try to get out once before it's all said and done.

I shot my bird during during the CT deer season. It's turkey season too. As you can see, it was a hen which I had tags for. I just bought a single shot 10 ga. for the spring hunt, which I can do in my back yard. I'll be out there soon.
