Great news!! I've found out where I'll be stationed after my year in Honduras-

Scott AFB, Ill!! I'll be assigned at the 375th Communications Squadron.

Anyone here stationed there? I'll be hanging out in the O'fallon, Ill and St. Charles, MO areas. I'll be there in April of 2007!!!!

:D

 I don't remember them being that far apart...

(I'm from St. Charles. Graduated from Francis Howell North HS)

And I thought I had high miles before, now I'll really spin the odometer...

Larry,

One of my buddies who is commissioning in August of this year will be stationed at Scott AFB. He is (go figure) going to be a Comm's Officer.... doesn't drive an ST, but still a great guy! Best of luck to ya!

Wow I was in class of 89' at Howell North, although I moved that year to CA and finished school in Anaheim.

It may not be 75 miles but it is a long haul everyday.

Cool! You'll be able to go to Cardinal games at the new Busch Stadium. (If you're a baseball fan, that is)...

Man, if I was stationed at Scott AFB, I'd have season tix to the Cardinals!!!

Hear me now and believe me later, Mister Girly-Man! We are not here to talk about Sport Tracs.

We are here to pump...

you up!

My parents live in Edwardsville.... that's like a home turf area there....

Course, the wife is from Pacific, so I know that area well too.

Been there a couple of times during my career. Also, my daughter graduated from Mascoutah High School there, and then SIU at Edwardsville (my ex-wife moved there from Las Vegas to work on the casino boats that float out of East St Louis). Scott AFB is just about your basic Air Force base that happens to be out in the middle of the high corn - and lots of it.
