I noticed on my son's new 2010 ST the rear seat windows go all the way down. I was curious if the Explorer did also or if it was only the ST. Most cars do not have rear windows that go completely down. I thought it was because the rear wheelwell would not allow the space. However, the automotive press says it is for child safety.
I doubt safety is the issue. I was a kid once and was never tempted to jump out the back window of a moving vehicle -- with the possible exception of my grandfather's Studebaker. I would rather die than let my friends see me riding in it.
