It's now official, everything about this superbowl sucked. :p

Okay, some of the commercials were okay, but nothing like they used to be. And who dusted off the stones for the half time show? They should of left them in the geriatric ward.

I'm not a fan of either team, but rooted against the Steelers, because of their history against my team, The Cowboys.

It really seems that the Seattle coach got too hung up on the second quarter call on the Steelers touchdown. He called a lot of lame plays at the end of the half, and the team lost something from then on. Seattle showed they had the talent to win, but their coach failed them.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tiger, no need to remember, I know your feelings on mods and not mods, sheesh,,,

Some people......

EricP--just remember that the Cowboys' and Steelers' championships COMBINED are still short of the Packers' 12 championships. :p

And Jerry, you're absolutely right--that halftime show was pathetic. I've seen a Stones concert within the past couple years--it was great. Yesterday's show, on the other hand, was an embarrassment, both to them, the league, and especially to ABC, whose sound broadcast of the halftime show was horrendous.

Bill,

Apples & oranges. The Packers' championships were the equivalent of a Conference Championship these days. There just wasn't another conference to play against, until 1966. They also didn't have to endure a playoff schedule like the teams have to now. It was a different league back then, with shorter seasons. Not to take away from their greatness during their era, but you just can't make the comparison between those championships and the Super Bowls.

Actually, prior to Free Agency and the Salary Cap, it was much easier for the great teams to retain their rosters, and dominate year after year. I don't like league parity - it's just so watered down now. I miss those powerhouse teams of the 60's, 70's, 80's, and early 90's.

Even as a Steeler fan, I'll say that although the Patriots may have benefitted in a way from the parity, winning three SB's in four years might be more impressive than the Steelers winning four in six back in the 70's. The Steelers were able to win four with substantially the same team which these days is hard to do with free agency and the salary cap.
