Steering wheel radio controls

Has anyone else ever had the radio station change when they use the steering wheel mounted volume control? My 07 Limited has been doing this lately. I am almost always listening to SiriusXM Satellite Radio and have noticed that sometimes when I use the steering wheel mounted volume control it changes channels from one preset to another. At first I thought I might have hit the wrong button or multiple buttons at once but that is not the case. It doesn't happen every time but it has happened multiple times and seems to be doing it more and more frequently. Strange, very strange.

Might be dirty inside? The whole module comes out of the steering wheel if you lightly pry up on it. Airbag does not have to be messed with. It has one small wire harness to disconnect. You can then seperate the module and clean the contacts inside.

It might be a flex pad with carbon contacts. I have seen that type of pad flex too much and make more than one contact.
