I asked this question a few months ago without much luck, so I'll try again. Does anybody have some step bar brackets they want to part with? Bent the hell out of mine, tried to take the bars off and straighten them, but it's not working. I need to just start over with some new straight brackets, but cannot find any. Anyone help?
 
If your interested I have a set of stock running boards that I took of my 04 ST. As far as I remember everything was good when I took them off. Let me know if your interested.
 
Keep in mind there are different brackets out there. When I installed my Ford chrome step bars the mounting brackets were just one flat piece of steel. My old painted step bars that were orginal were much beefier stamped platform type bracket that was probably 3-4" wide.
