Stereo Question

I have this factory stereo and was wondering how i could attach a ford factory sub and amp to it? a fellow member has one that i want to buy but not sure if it would work?[Broken External Image]:

i also plan on installing some sort of aux plug so i can use my Zune.....any info??

Technically you could, but it would be a huge hassle. Can make it easier for yourself and just upgrade the deck to something after-market. I mean, in this case... which sounds easier?



Running 8 wires from the HU to the amp, still running the + & - & remote wire, then re-running all 10 wires in groups of two to each door and the sub. I think thats called low-pass-of or something like that. Other way... upgrade deck, run one set of 2 wires called RCA's from the deck to the amp. Add the + & - & remote wire, then running all door speakers and the sub. (unless only the amp is going to the sub)



Either way you decide to do this... Just update the head unit with something with RCA's. Will make life easier. Thats about the best answer I can give. And I don't know much. Hopefully someone else can chime in and help as well.

If you want to keep it stock, you need a 6 cd in dash with the sub output. You need 3 outputs and yours has 2.

I am going through the exact same thing. I bought a oem sub, then had to trade/buy a oem radio with the sub out and now I am waiting for my wiring harness to show up, and crossing my fingers that its the right one.

You can find the radios on ebay and there are a couple members here that have them, but they all are looking for over 100 bucks for them.

but i could do it with this HU? I like this HU since it has 6cd changer and also plays mp3s. so does anyone have the wiring info on this?? maybe i can sweet talk my husband to do the wiring for me :wub:

I hear it isnt worth doing on that unit w/o the sub out. At least thats what I was told.

Soon I'll be getting rid of my Adrenalin HU along with the door speakers, the amp and the factory sub and all wiring. I put a checking for interest tab in the S & S, and have been emailed already and they want dibs on it. So I can't help on more on that behalf.
