I need your help to find a Alternator Bracket for my 1987 GMC Sonoma. It has a 2.5 IronDuke four cylinder motor in it. I've tried looking around and can't find one so I need your expertise to locate one for me if possible. If anyone else reading this knows where I can get one I'd really appreciate the help, thanks. Jerry

Thanks Todd Z. I think I might have found one on the S10forum, the guy hasn't got back to me about shipping cost yet.

Sorry I didn't see this Jerry. I've been covered up the last couple days. Everything I've touched has turned to s....... (not gold). Sorry.

Is the bracket the same on all 2.5L Dukes?

For '87 up s10/sonoma's with the serpentine belt. They made a steel bracket and a cast aluminum one, I have the crappy cast one that has cracked all the way down along the top mounting bolts. The belt tensioner mounts to it as well.

I'm a Ford parts scrounger Jerry but have had little interest in other makes. About all I know about the Duke is what I learned messing with my moms 86 Century back years ago. Coastie might be a better source for "all-makes" parts locating.
