(apologies to Paul Simon for the borrowed lyrics)

Last night, I hauled a load of 2x4s and 2x6s from Home Depot. Unloaded everything at home, swung my bed extender back in place, closed the tonneau cover. When I got inside, I said to my wife: "I've never had an automobile I liked this much after five years."

It may sound corny, but the ST is my do anything companion, on road trips, hunting trails, towing, boating, home projects, running errands, and easy cruising down the highway.

Tip of the cap to Ford, once again, for inventing this SUT thing.

i agree just got my yakima gear basket (thanks Gerry) for added storage.

Agree. I love my Trac! I had it on a pretty steep, packed snow and ice "road" in the boonies yesterday. Went up the road and then back down it. I was real happy about how it performed, especially since my toyota friend was in it with me. ;)

Keep on Trac'n!

Yup. My ST turns 5 in about a week, and it's getting a drop pan tranny flush and new filter, along with some Royal Purple. A nice wash and wax, and maybe some goodies from WFoy (haven't decided yet). I've never had such a reliable vehicle (cause it's my first) that was so much fun and does everything I need it to.

Can't agree more. Most versitile vehicle I've ever owned. Use it more as a truck than I ever thought I would. Everybody should have one.

Ditto! I've only been a ST owner for 6 months, and I can't get over how well this SUT turned out to be. I certainly hope I can one day say, "Wow, 5 years and I still love this Trac!". Thanxs Rich for letting us be a part of something.

:D

Can't say enough about it. Every time someone I know is looking into getting a new vehicle, I tell them to check one out. They never take my advise though. Oh well. We know what they are missing.;)

127,00 miles and going well. Probably about time for another tranny HAHA

I plan on driving it for many mroe years, it is the perfect solution for me. I need to haul and tow a lot of stuff that is too large for a car and not large enough to need an F150.

Very comfortable on long trips and the XMNavTraffic receiver that I heard is under the Christmas tree will make that even better. Audio upgrades are next.

Awesome truck, somebody should put up a website about it. I bet alot of people would go there.

Although I recently sold mine I have to agree. In fact, I have owned two Tracs.

Recently I bought a lexus and I am loving......

I've owned two and loved them both...

I like others here have had two Sport Trac's and I have never, ever thought I would buy two nearly identical vehicles.

I leased a 2001 T-Red Sport Trac for 3 years and that convinced me that it was the right size vehicle for me, and I don't particularly care for pickup trucks.

When the lease ended on the 2001 I purchased a Black 2003 XLT Premium Sport Trac, with nearly all the bells and whistles I wanted since I found one for $1200 less MSRP than anyother similarly equiped Sport Trac. Even some XLS models with less equipment were more expensive? Then I purchased it on the X-Plan and got another $2750 in rebates, so this one was way cheaper than the 2001 Sport Trac.

I envy everyone who still loves their Trac. I've spent too much money and time keeping it on the road and now am trying to sell it but I'm not getting any calls :( I just wish it was more dependable. I think mine was made on Friday :D

I'm with you, Rich!

I still get compliments on mine, and it's pretty stock compared to a lot of others here. And I still do that thing where I have to turn around and look at it after I park far away. I have to stay, she still looks great! I never imagined that I would own it for this long and still be so happy with it!
