I recieved the steering wheel cruise switches today. It is the SW-5928. The photo showed the on/off on the left. The Info said, for my '04 Sport Trac.

Well the on/off is on the right. Like the first ones I was linked to.

Does anyone know if the switch set will fit, cables, screw mounts etc. I hate to tear it down air bag and all. Then find out I do have to send them back. If they will work, I can just get use to the opposite it was.

The shipping was free, but. The Ebay add said, buyer pays return shipping. I bet the seller knows they are wrong. Made in Mexico. China would have got it right. They would have worn out sooner though....:banghead:

Strange. Ford F87Z9C888BB number cross references to Motorcraft SW-5928.

I don't see why you'd have to pay return shipping on something they shipped incorrectly. You aren't returning what you paid for. They may as well have sent you a rubber duck and told you return shipping is your responsibility. You didn't get what you paid for. I know it'd be a battle, though. Sucks.

Eddie- Was the Motorcraft package sealed? Check if the switch has a part number molded on it.

Hugh,

I agree. The seller wasnt specific over return reasons. Just said, buyer pays for return ship. Now I think about it, sounds hokey....so buyer will keep the rubber duck...

Steve,

The switches were shiped in the motorcraft box. Taped with clear packing tape, and a USPS label stuck to it. No outer box or any packing in the box. The switches werent' inside of a plastic bag. Just loose in the motorcraft box. Other than a green sticker on one switch. That has a motorcraft # that doesnt match the # on the box. There are no motorcraft markings molded on the switches at all.

I think they might be reboxed after-market. Came from APS distrubution, Dallas, Tx. Odd that it took 9 days. Dallas is about 350-400 miles from me.....Torrie would have been faster..

Put it in dispute with Ebay and document all communications. I bought two solar panels(new) off Ebay and when they arrived, one was shattered. I disputed it and finally got my money back. There is a process......
