Is there a sub that would fit in the '04 factory subbox. Using the the factory amp. I just want alittle more than the factorys sound. Dont want to do any wiring or amp or box changes. The factory speaker only punches at high volume. Im not the type to crank it. Just want richer bass at lower volume. Thanks for any sugestions.

Whats the size of the factory sub? My adrenalin sub box came with a 10" in it. But weirdly enough, an aftermarket 10" wouldn't fit in it. Only an aftermarket 8" would. For fact that the OEM sub and aftermarket sub are cut and made differently.

I found this out, when I had purchased 4x 10" subs to go into my Trac and come to find out, the OEM box wouldn't take the 10"

The factory sub is 8". Mounting depth, dont know. Maybe 3". This is in the XLT. The box is behind rear seat, driver side. Normaly a storage cubby hole.

Some one at Louisville, I think it was Todd C or Andy told me that an aftermarket one will bolt directly in....

I am going to try it when i swap out my seats...

I have an aftermarket one in mine, but it certainly doesn't just bolt in...

Don't know about the first gen trucks, though.
