Kailua Kona, Hi
By mistake the sunroof was left open during a minor rain fall. It occasionally freezes here and I am curious to where the water would go if there was enough to pool up inside the track and trim areas. Is there a drainage system or a way that the water is able to escape?? Should I be concerned where this water may have gone? I have taken some measures to the problem, but am still curious and want to make sure I dont miss anything to avoid future problems.

All comments appreciated even if you dont know and are guessing :)

There is a drainage system that works pretty well actually. Once you drive your Trac I would say your good to go. Driving it will get any residual water to move to the drains if it has not already gone there.

I would pull up the scuff plates and pull up the edges of the rubber to see if any water is pooling on the sides....if it is....a wet dry vac may be a good idea.

Wait until summer comes around and park your vehicle in the sun. Leave your windows cracked so the vehicle gets hot inside, but will still vent the moisture.

Make a mental note not to leave the moonroof open in the rain next time. ;)

Never left the moonroof open, but I have left the rear window down a few times. Of course we lived in FL so it was warm year round, I just did what Tom suggested and left the windows cracked with the truck parked in the sun. No water under the flooring, seats dried out just fine, and I learned to check the rear window.

Thankyou for all the input. The sunroof was left open while it was being barrowed :( Oh well. No harm done. Im going to go check up on the sunroof one more time after all the driving I have done.
