synthetic fluids-worth it or not?

Someone (ahem) recently told me to stick to Ford lubricants. I could understand the tranny, but what about the T/C, axles or motor. I have an '08, V8. I already use Mobil 1 in the motor. Can someone "enlighten" me? :unsure:

The gearboxes are synthetic already......



the only thing left is the transfer case......



So If you switch that your done..

I run in synthetic in everything. I change the engine oil once a year. Just turned 102,000 miles o the way home from work today.

How many miles is on oil when changing once a year? I do mine every 6MO. However, it MAY have 3,000 miles if that.

Same here, but I'm retired & need the excercise, so I do it every 6 months;
optional to just change the Filter & let Oil go longer.

I my changed 2005 ST oil every 10,000 for 15 years. Mobil One Synthetic. Still ran like new after 165,000 miles.
