Synthetic oil?

Quick question on the synthetic oil. If Ford recommends 5-20 for my 2003 trac would I use 5-20 in the synthetic?

Yes, what ever the OEM oil is you match the numbers.

It should be 5w-30, not 5w-20.

The 5w20 is a partial synthetic oil from ford any way...

Some of the earlier ST's do use the 5w20 not the 5w30.

Since you live here on the gulf coast like I do, you can use 10-30. It's sometimes easier to find and will work just as well.

We use Royal Purple (full synthetic) 5w30 in our '01, and love it. Wish I'd done it sooner than we did.
