First off, this is not for me, it is for a friend of about 13-14 years; we went to pre-school together.
He has a 2004 Subaru WRX. He has asked me to install his system for him, but he wants to keep the stock head unit, since he has the 6cd changer. He bought a Kicker S10L7 dual 4ohm and a Kicker KX600.1 amp. I know I need a low level converter, or whatever it's called, but I need to know where to get it. I tried to get him to go aftermarket, but his stock head unit is really nice. He also has a 2farad capacitor and a 4gauge wiring kit. I don't have any questions about wiring up the sub or amp, just about the converter/inverter whatever it's called, like where would I tap into the factory wires? At a rear door jamb? And would anyone have a part number for the inverter? Thanks.
