So I decide to polish up my tail light lenses on my Mustang for a nice show shine. I gave a light 3000 grit sanding and proceed to the compound them. (They weren't bad to start with) I get done buffing and they look worse!
I notice a shiny spot in the middle of the lens and realize the body shop I had re-paint the faded body color in 1998 clear coated the entire lens!!! Now I got to carefully sand it all off the lenses and start over; this just doubled the work! Why can't shops do a job without cutting corners?!?
This is another reason why I do all work on my cars unless I have absolutly no chioce but to go to a shop. 94-95 tails light are at least twice as expensive as 96-98 lenses and are getting harder to find.
