taurus keypad "code location"?

Help,

I asked a week ago if anyone knew where the code location on a 04 taurus would be at.

It is not

on the outside of the ecm via engine compartment

anywhere in the trunk area

in,on,behind, under the glove compartment.

Do I need to remove the ecm from the engine compartment?

Or remove air bag (do not really want to do this)?

Please Help

You will probably have to pull the ECM out in order to se if is on there. Not sure about the airbag removal to get at it but see if it can be done without removal of the bag. If it is not there you may have to take it to a Ford dealer for them to pull the code.

Look inside the engine compartment and look at the left shock tower, there is a 2 letter code on the shock tower, that is the same code as the ECM. We match both up when we install them. the operator puts one sticker on the ECM as he/she installs it and the other goes on the shock tower.
