this is CRAZY!! got in the truck this morning (60 degrees outside) temp gauge reads in the middle. as engine warms up,temp gauge goes DOWN to cold. its going backwards. any suggestion?:unsure:

It's normal, thermistor probably has some residual voltage or the computer remembers the last known temperature and averages over certain amount of time. My '10 STA does the same. After 2 to 5 min. it's normal.

I sujest changing the sending unit. If that dont fix it, most probably the gauge. The sender for the gauge is not tied to the computer. That is a different sender.
