What is the difference between the Temp sender, Temp sensor, and the Temp switch? I bought all three and I see two of them go next to the Thermostat housing and are threaded with no washers? The other one has only a rubber 0-ring, no threads - where does it go?

Thanks, Todd T.

The temp sensor = Tells the computer what temp the engine is

The temp Sender = Tells the Dash Gauge what to read

The temp switch = Can turn on and off an idiot light, electric fan, or other device

I don't think the ST has a temp switch, that may be an explorer 4 door thing...

I don't have my manual with me or I would look it up..

Todd, the only thing I found is the voltage warmed up...

The sensor should be telling the computer .058 volts for 197 degrees and .075 for 180 degrees...
